Very stylish piece, originally a cocktail cabinet, but useful for general storage around the house.
High quality craftsmanship, with book matched teak veneer on the front and a working lock. Base is solid wood. Handsome proportions, made by British firm Turnidge probably in the 1950s or 60s. They seem to have specialised in mini-bars and drinks cabinets like this one.
Inside there is an upper and lower section, divided by a drawer. The upper is mirror-backed, with a built in fluro light (the cord has had the plug cut off).
The top has a quirky fold out serving bench lined in practical wood-look laminex.
Mid-century style with a hint of Art Deco.
